Football Viewing
We currently have 2 venues where we are guaranteed both TVs and sound - even in the event of a scheduling conflict with the University of Texas! Shoal Creek Saloon is located at 909 North Lamar. We have been going here for the past 4 years, and we have been treated very well. Lavaca Street Bar, located at 405 Lavaca Street, is a new location for LSU football viewings as of 2008. Lavaca added a back area with a huge screen for their projector, and we take that back area over for our games - letting UT have the rest of the establishment.
Very important to note, Lavaca Street Bar does not get every LSU game. If you would like to be added to the Evite list for game-specific information for viewings at Lavaca Street Bar, please send an e-mail to Kelly Verdin. Both Shoal Creek Saloon and Lavaca Street Bar worked well for us in 2008.
In the past, we've been at locations including Pluckers at 183 and Burnet, and Warehouse Saloon at 71 and I35. We have found that north and south locations just don't get the draw that central locations do. If you happen to have a favorite spot where you go to watch the games and would like for other Tigers to join you, send us an email and we'll list it here!
