LSU Scholarships

The Austin Chapter of the LSU Alumni Association offers two chapter scholarships that are one-time awards of $1,000 per year ($500 per semester). One is for ENTERING FRESHMEN and the other is for RETURNING STUDENTS. Through our annual fundraiser, started way back in 1991, we have managed to raise over $80,000 for our scholarships! It couldn't happen without the hard work and support of everyone involved! THANK YOU!

Congratulations to our 2010-2011 Scholarship winners!

Radmon Rice, our entering freshman scholarship winner, is a senior at Stephen F. Austin High School. He is a varsity soccer player and an honor band trombone player. The LSU Austin Alumni salute this well-rounded young man and wish him the best on his freshman year at LSU!

Emelia “May” Wright, our returning student scholarship winner, is a Junior at LSU. This Music Ed. Major/Math minor has obtained Honors Distinction and has made the Chancellor’s Honor Roll every semester she has been in school. May stays busy with organizations like the Methodist student ministry and Habitat for Humanity. The LSU Austin Alumni are proud to honor May Wright with our 2010-2011 scholarship!
