2010 Send Off Picnic
Come help us send the Austin area LSU students off to Baton Rouge in style! This year’s picnic will be a tailgate & baseball game at the Dell Diamond. We will provide burgers, hot dogs, and a few games for some healthy alumni vs. student competition.
The tailgate will begin at 1:00 p.m. and food will be ready between 3:00 and 3:30. Suggested donations of $5 to help pay for food are welcome and appreciated! We’ll be set up in the west parking lot, north of Salt Lick in the large lawn area with a lot of trees. Look for the LSU tent. Please bring your own chairs, cooler, snacks, sunscreen, extra pop-up tents, water, beer, and anything else you think you will need for the tailgate.
You don’t *have* to stay for the baseball game, but why not? Round Rock Express will take on the Iowa Cubs at 7:05 p.m. Discount tickets for $6 can be purchased from the Round Rock Express website by entering the discount code SOUTH (in all caps) or by calling Neil Moore with Round Rock Express at 512-238-2215. Please purchase game tickets in advance as discount tickets are not available the day of the game. Parking is free until around 5:00 p.m.
