Greetings Texas Tigers,
LSU’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships recently announced a new scholarship program - and it’s designed specifically for Texas residents!
Our alumni chapter in conjunction with the LSU Alumni Association and key LSU administration have long advocated for a non-resident fee exemption for our best and brightest Texas students.  With the establishment of the Texas Tiger Scholarship, we have finally achieved a 20% reduction in out-of-state fees.  Specifics and qualifications are detailed below, so please help us get the word out to any prospective Texas students who are considering LSU.  Additional great news about this scholarship is that it can be combined with most LSU scholarships. and becomes available to students enrolling for the Fall 2016 semester.  (Don't forget to apply for the two LSU Austin Scholarships available to Austin-area students!)
By applying for admission to LSU, you are automatically considered for all university scholarships. It is that easy!
Thank you for helping us share this exciting new opportunity for excelling Texas students.  If you or any prospective scholarship candidates would like more information, please contact the LSU Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships at
(225) 578-3103 or scholarships@lsu.edu.
Geaux spread the word, Texas Tigers!
