St. Edward's University - Ragsdale Center

Still celebrating the victory in the  National Championship? So are we! Join your fellow LSU Austin Tigers and Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler with an evening of food & fun to celebrate the LSU Tigers winning the National Championship!

We'll be celebrating the victory with gumbo courtesy of Stuffed Cajun Meat Market, and jamming to the glorious tunes of The Numbers!  Wear your finest purple & gold, your tiger stripes, and don't forget about da shoes!! We'll have raffle & auction items, and there will be items available to purchase from the LSU Alumni Associaton Gift Shop.

Proceeds will benefit the LSU Austin Scholarship fund! There will be a Cash bar (and by that - we mean cash; there is an ATM somewhere nearby ... but best to bring the greenbacks!) All alumni, friends, fans & family of LSU are welcome to attend!

Event will be held on the Ragsdale Center on the campus of St. Edward's University - easiest way to access is to take Ben White, and then head north on Congress. Turn right at Woodward St, first left on Andre, right on Moody.)

This year's Mambeaux will once again feature The Numbers playing traditional New Orleans jazz!   The band is led by its founder, Don Lavigne, who grew up in New Orleans. The band was originally formed by members of the Austin Community College Math Department.  Players have come and gone over the years and the band has evolved beyond its humble beginnings.

Some members still have connections to ACC as faculty or playing with the ACC jazz bands.   The Numbers have performed at the North Door, Kenny Dorham’s Backyard, Waterloo Ice House and private parties, among other venues.  They are proud to be part of the Honk!TX community of street bands.  For Mardi Gras season they will be appearing at various venues in the Austin area.
